This year the Recognitions Committee (Dusty Davis, Laura Lee Modesitt, Jessica Meathrell and I) chose a woman who has served the Seventh Day Baptist denomination and her church for many years. She served the conference as the Vice-President and then the President of the Women’s Board, on the SCSC committee, and has been a regular contributor to the Sabbath Recorder.
Our recipient and her husband have been married since 1974. They raised two children.
She graduated as valedictorian of her class at White Cloud High School.
She served in SCSC in 1970 and in 1971. She also did dedicated service in Plainfield, NJ for 1 year.
She graduated from Milton College.
She was the secretary of the Sabbath Recorder, and the editor and secretary at the American Sabbath Tract Society office.
She shares her gift of music by playing piano for a church in her community.
She has served on staff at SDB Pre-Con.
She worked for and retired from the Bridgeton School District at 65.
She currently serves as the treasurer of the Shiloh Benevolent Society.
She has recently experienced unthinkable loss and her faith has not waivered. Her anchor holds to her Savior.
This year’s recipient of the SDB Women’s Society Robe of Achievement is Donna Bond of the SDB Church of Shiloh, NJ.
