Mrs. Frankie Lowther Davis was a woman who was kind, humble and provided outstanding and quality service to the denomination. She was known for having cultivated qualities and skills that lent themselves toward being motherly to her own biological children and grandchildren as well as adopted children in Christ.
Frankie lived a quiet life in Plainfield, NJ working at the Publishing House and working in the Plainfield church. When her husband retired they moved to Jamaica and began serving as missionaries there. It is rare to become such a dedicated missionary so late in life but that is exactly what Frankie became. After her husbands death Frankie continued on in the mission field in Jamaica.
Frankie always encouraged her own children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to visit her in Jamaica as she did not feel she could leave her mission field to come back to the States and visit. She was extremely devoted to serving our sister conference in Jamaica and did so without the benefit of pay. Her selfless service was highly valued by our Jamaican brothers and sisters.
